Born in 1990, Shaked is a Biomedical Engineering M.Eng student at Ben Gurion University in Beer-Sheva, Israel.
As Co-founder and Executive Director at “The Modern Agriculture Foundation”, Shaked has made it his goal to bring cultured meat to the general public as soon as possible. “Cultured meat has the potential to be the single most impactful invention of the century. It will relieve hundreds of billions of animals annually of a painful life and death, drastically slow climate change, and eliminate farm animal borne diseases.” In addition to overall oversight, his main fields of contribution at “The Modern Agriculture Foundation” are fundraising, media, writing and translating.
Shaked aspires to make commercial cultured meat a reality, both with his work at the foundation and, in the future, as a researcher in the field.
